Imagine having a loved one that is undergoing chemotherapy or undergoing treatment for a life-threatening illness or suffering from a life altering injury from an accident. This means your life as a family member is changed to a pure support role, often feeling defeated and somewhat helpless. Support is likely bedside, at the mercy of medical teams working hard to help your loved one where and when able. This road is lonely, long and unfortunately never fast. If this loved one is a child, it is even more difficult and at times, hard to cope. The NISS Foundation understands this and understands that when treatment is over the personal recovery begins. For NISS™, this means giving deserving families that have stopped life to provide such support, a place to come together and take a much needed mental and physical break. This is more than a vacation, this is a selected venue that can provide families the opportunity to come together and enjoy life’s blessings and the simple, often over-looked beauty of just being together and letting the one ailing know you love them and that you will continue to be there for them. The NISS Foundation seeks to make a difference by providing families enduring these issues, special time together in a resort venue that is typically unaffordable and unavailable to most. We take the first step to provide a peaceful environment to begin the recovery process … together.
